Barcelona has the highest number of motorbikes per inhabitant in Europe, which therefore makes it easy and fun to experience on two wheels thanks to its travel network including an impressive number of bike lanes.

There are organized and guided scooter excursions that journey through the city making stops at all the key places of interest. Those who do not have a Motorbike license can alternatively opt for bicycle tours which use cycle routes throughout the city. In both cases, motorbike and pedal bike, small tour groups follow predetermined routes seeing the most popular sights such as the Sagrada Familia, Gothic Quarter and the Montjuic Mountain.

In the Barceloneta district where the beaches are located, many businesses rent out Segways usually as part of an organized guided tour. This is a great choice for those who wish to experience the Maritime zone and the Gothic quarter, where the ground is fairly flat, which makes the experience extremely pleasant.

Any of these options allow you to see a lot more of Barcelona and in less time than if you were to experience it on foot.
