HOW TO GET BARCELONA BY TRAIN
Barcelona has one of the best rail networks in both nationally and in Europe. Travelling to Barcelona by train is not the cheapest option, because air travel is now often less expensive and generally much faster, but still remains an alternative widely used by thousands of passengers.
Currently, the main station in Barcelona is the Sants Station, origin and destination for trains heading towards the major Spanish cities and many European cities, such as Paris or Milan. Other relevant railway stations are the France Station, an old central station featuring modernist style, Catalonia St. and Sagrera St. Every day they serve commuters and travellers relying on public transport.
In the near future, Sagrera station will take over Sants station as the main railway hub in Barcelona. Important projects of extension and improvement are being carried out to make it become one of the best in Europe.
