Depending on what places we visit, we can enjoy a great variety of local homemade desserts, particular to each region. All based on products grown in Catalonia, each with its own particular characteristic, which is what makes them so special.

We will be highlighting some of the most common, tasty and nutritious options you may enjoy:

The dessert par excellence is the Crema Catalana (Catalan cream), elaborated in a bowl with milk, eggs, sugar, cornstarch and orange or lemon peel, all mixed together forming a creamy custard cream which will sweeten your palate. Flavor gets more delicious if you order it with a crackly burnt topping.

Other typical Catalonian desserts include the Carquinyolis (biscotti), which are elaborated with a paste prepared from almonds; the pa de pessic, a traditional and delicious sponge cake, garrapinyada (sugared almonds) and the coca de vidre and coca de San Joan (St. Jhon´s cake).

During Easter Holidays we can enjoy the Mona de Pascua (traditional easter cake). Catalonian artisans decorate these cakes with sophisticated chocolate figures recreating famous fictional or cultural characters.
