Youth hostels in the city of Barcelona are one of the options usually chosen by the youngsters or frequent travellers who prefer a more economical alternative regardless of luxuries and comforts.

In these hostels, guests are provided a bed in a dormitory, often equipped with bunk beds, which can accommodate between four and twenty occupants. Bathrooms are usually shared, although some also have rooms with private bathrooms.

One of the advantages of staying in one of these hostels is the chance to meet other travellers from different nationalities and of similar age. In this young and easy-going environment, guests can enjoy a comfortable and relaxed atmosphere, together with other guests sharing their stories and experiences.

Some of these venues include breakfast, and they often have a common kitchen and laundry space where everyone is responsible for their own clothes and food.

The ages of the guests typically range between 18 and 26 years.
